Cape Cod City Guide
Cape Cod is the Massachusetts landmass that extends into the Atlantic Ocean, said to look like an arm showing its muscle. The seventy mile-long peninsula is comprised of fifteen townships, divided into three regions: Upper Cape (Bourne, Sandwich, Falmouth, Mashpee), Mid-Cape (Barnstable, Yarmouth, Dennis) and Lower Cape (Brewster, Harwich, Chatham, Orleans, Eastham, Wellfleet, Truro and Provincetown). No matter which region you choose to visit, there will be plenty to keep you entertained.
The Cape offers an abundance of recreational activities. Swimming, sailing, kayaking, and snorkeling are all available along with whale watching. One of the world’s best whale feeding areas is located just off of Cape Cod Bay. This is a prime boating area and there are plenty of opportunities for you to climb aboard to relax and take in the scenery or fish the beautiful waters for a great catch!
This area is known as the “golf coast” and is one of the most premier places to swing your club. There are more than 25 public golf courses in Cape Cod that are pristine and fun for the experienced and the beginner. The steady climate here allows golfers the opportunity to play nearly 52 weeks a year.
Cape Cod is brimming with art and culture. The historic towns and villages have plenty to offer – art galleries, studios, shops, and museums. There are also several performing art venues available with a variety of dramas and musicals. Music fills the air here from the classy Cape Symphony to the exciting jazz.
Dining in the Cape can be quite the experience! There’s an array of dining choices here including upscale restaurants, waterfront eateries, pizza parlors and coffeehouses. The wide variety of food offered is sure to please even the pickiest of eaters!
Cape Cod is a favorite travel destination for families, singles, couples and anyone looking for a unique vacation spot. Attractions and activities abound, the seafood is fresh, the history is fascinating and it’s all located in a compact area that is easily explored. Soak in the history, enjoy the nautical atmosphere, have a blast on the Cape and we can help.
